Multiculturalism Small Grants Application
In June 2008, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador launched the policy on Multiculturalism. This policy promotes multiculturalism and cross-cultural understanding where the cultural diversity of all people is valued, supported and enhanced to collectively build a self-reliant, prosperous Province. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has designated March 21-27 as Multiculturalism week to highlight and celebrate provincial cultural diversity. The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism’s project entitled Together, We-Rock! Celebrating Multiculturalism Across the Province encourages community members to take part in diversity celebrations to foster respect, equality, and promote cultural diversity as a strength. The Office of Immigration's Multiculturalism Activities Program (MAP) is designed to support these community initiatives.
